I have been in the field of education for 45 years. I have worked as an Educational Diagnostician for 19 years. I have tested for cognitive and learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, math, attention, memory, school readiness and behavior issues. I provide a comprehensive report, including Response to Intervention strategies along with recommended modifications and accommodations. I also provide in-depth information about each concern pinpointed. As a long time teacher, I have the experience to know how the system works.
I taught, wrote curriculum, and managed a private preschool for 10 years. I was a Special Education teacher, Pre-K to 6th, for 15 years in the public school system. My students were autistic, cognitive (IQ), learning, attention and behaviorally disabled. I assessed, wrote and presented Individual Education Plans (IEP's) to enable students to work within a regular classroom.
I worked at Tarrant County College as a Developmental Reading instructor for 5 years, and have had a private practice as an Educational Diagnostician for 6+ years.
